On May 8th, GDLNG and China LNG shipping (holding) company held the ceremony jointly to celebrate the maiden voyage of China’s first LNG ship “Dapeng Sun” at Shenzhen Crown Plaza Hotel.
As part of Guangdong LNG project, Dapeng Sun, the first China built LNG carrier had been named and delivered on Apr.3rd in Shanghai Hudong shipyard. Then she started her maiden voyage to Australia’s NWS Dampier port. On the May 2nd, Dapeng Sun arrived at Shenzhen Dapeng LNG terminal, completing her first LNG up-loading and off-loading process.
In the ceremony, the organizers played a three minutes video of its maiden voyage first. Then president Tom King and CLNG general manager Mr. Yan Weiping gave speech respectively. Afterward they fill red wine from the both side until the container is full. Meanwhile the light below was lighted and there was a sound of ship horn to signify “adding fuel to Dapeng SUN” and the success of DaPeng Sun’s maiden voyage.
The representatives attending celebration banquet included GDLNG Board of Directors, CLNG board of Directors, YuePeng company board of directors, government, and other cooperation companies and media friends.
