On May 12th 2008 afternoon, an earthquake measuring 8 on the Richter scale hit Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province which caused tens of thousands of death and billions of property lost. At this crucial moment, GDLNG initiated company wide donation for disaster relief.
As the earthquake has triggered a great deal of secondary disasters, a lot of people have to live in tent and temporary house till now. Since November, the temperature has decreased sharply in western area of China that an urgent of winter items like quilts has to be satisfied. To address the need of disaster affected people, GDLNG decided to donate quilts to help them over wintering. The first batch of 2000 quilts has been distributed on Nov.29 and the second batch of 3270 quilts has been dispatched on Dec.4.
To fulfill our commitment to society, company executives decided the continuous support plan early in May. The quilts donation expresses our wishes of repaying society.
